Three wins in 6 games for Liverpool. Just a suggestion that they are faltering slightly? They beat Brighton, but hardly deserved to. They beat Palace but conceded three times.

At the start of the season they were annihilating teams, now they just look to be slowing ever so slightly.

You wouldnt be blamed for thinking it, but actually looks like they are about to sign some Paraguayan lad from MLS for £20 million. Just waiting on a medical.

Sounds crazy money that for a player who is 24 and only played in MLS>

I know nothing about him, but the signing is very important, because he was Rafa's first choice player and he has always been frustrated at the lack of backing for players that he personally wanted. It might just be enough for him to extend his contract come the summer

I would be surprised if Rafa stays at Newcastle.

He seems to be a man who needed an excuse to stay... strange as it may seem.

The fans love him, for a start. They never criticise him, preferring to lay all the blame for everything at the feet of the fat lad. Doubtless he's on a canny wedge too

he could have left after the summer transfers, because his £4M loyalty clause had expired, and he'd had to create his own transfer budget by selling Mitrovic to Fulham, despite being promised that he could have 'every single penny' of the £20M profit that the fat lad had made from the previous season (and that's if you believe that he only made £20M), of which he saw 'not a penny' Perhaps the fat lad was punishing him for not signing a 3 year contract extension at the end of the 2017/18? He offered him a £100M summer kitty if he signed, but Rafa chose not to believe him for a second, and told him he'd happily sign once the summer transfer season had ended and he'd seen the colour of the fat lad's money

I'm hopeful he might stay now, but I wouldn't blame him if he chose to move on to somewhere where he might be appreciated by the man with the money.

Always good to have the fans on your side, though. it has to make life a lot easier

Its not that he doesnt have a visa, but the paperwork takes longer than 24 hours to process and approve. It said on the news report I read when he signed, that he wasnt expected to play for the first game

Do wonder were Chelsea are heading. They have a owner who can no longer launder money through the club and can not work in the country. He is also looking to sell the club for 2 billion which will be end of his excellent cleaning of dodgy money. But who is going to spend that much on them, and will they have as much dirty money to pump into the club to keep them competitive?

Feels that the best days of Chelsea might be behind them now.
