The ball gets old, our seamers get tired and we have neither a big snarling fast bowler to bomb the tail out nor a spinner to bamboozle them out. In all the years we've been a first class county I can't think of a single decent home grown spinner that we've managed to produce, so I'd have Monty in a heartbeat, given that he is actively looking for a county to take him in. Season long see how he goes, see if he still has it, see if he has the temperament, see if he could fit in in the dressing room. It may be that he wouldn't pass any of those tests, but I'd certainly be trying to find out

haven't had to do that for a while
still might not

Rushy and Carse have bowled 30 overs for 151 runs and the others have bowled 49 overs for 80 runs. Difficult to fathom that one out
