3 abandoned matches so far.If the mega event of cricket is like this then I wonder how more fans could be added to the game after such a poorly organised tournament.
Test FL's - 8 , ODI and Tests Combo FL's - 1, ODI World Cup - 1, ODI FL's - 7, ODI and T20i combo FL's - 1 ,
T20 Franchisee FL's - 7, T20i Cup FL's- 1, T20 FL's- 5 , 50 Overs Domestic FL's - 1, 40 Overs Domestic FL's- 1

I suppose the extended group phase survives the weather better than a four team group. A bad week of weather could destroy a shorter group phase and knock teams out more unfairly.

A problem is the huge mono-group. The tournament really isn't going anywhere. Break it down to groups of four, and have an extra knockout round. This lumbering, cumbersome group stage is a snooze.

Damn right Arthur. We're barely a third of the way through, and it already seems as though the shape of the table is set for the rest of the tournament.

I like the format personally as the best teams are more likely to get through

Don't understand why there aren't two games most days though

All the matches this week are potential wash outs on the forecast.... apart from England's next game.

Good start for Aus.

Not a good start for Pakistan (depending on this review)

I think Finch has become much more important than Warner.

Aus well on top...

Didn't take long for "bad" Pakistan to turn up again : loose bowling , dodgy fielding , bowling no balls... They surprised England (guess they were "due") but I think that might be their highlight of this WC done.

Finch holes out now but he's done his job...146/1 in the 23rd is a terrific platform. Surely someone will build this into a monster ?

Australia need Warner to kick on, as the next 2 bats will also consolidate.

Australia needs a more dynamic batting line up. Perhaps they might send out Maxwell next?

Chance here to keep the Aussies below 340

Both marsh and khawaja can take a few balls to get in

Those wickets and a few quiet overs have dragged this back...

Not going to be the big score that looked likely half an hour ago. Need someone to tee off in this last ten to make the most of the excellent platform.
