The return of Starc was a boost for a few pundits in this round.

Going into the final round we have a bolter from the pack with BFP closing down myself for the top spot. The experts are assuming that GJ and Red, conjoined through four long rounds like good and evil destined to grapple for a frustrated supremacy throughout eternity, are too far back to prevail overall.

Regarding the chase for the FL Ashes, BFP is down to four picks with Starc making way in the Oval Test. As I have those four plus Lyon, BFP is relying on a concussion to get Pattinson and Starc back into his five.

all through the competition, I have managed to maintain a steady lead on Red, but on the home stretch, he gains an advantage on me.

Should be you first on alphabetical order, but I think I swapped it around this time out of even handedness.

What really hurts is a lack of official sponsors for this round, I suspect because of the UK going into recession and commerce is losing its nerve. ANAFL is the canary in the coalmine. Expect the housing market to follow.

Even better, I managed to negotiate a tomorrow ++ deal.

Here are the scorers from the Oval Test.

Marsh...231

Archer...184
Smith...183

Root...150
Cummins...141
Buttler...134
Lyon...126
Denly...118
Stokes...117
Curran...104

Broad...100
Siddle...81
Hazlewood...75

Woakes...34
Warner...16

No player has scored enough to make any major changes to the competition I don't think. Only Mike has Mitch3 so maybe he has closed the gap on Andy, but it was a big gap.

Global Stage Constructions are here to erect the stage for the final presentation. We are hoping John Humphry's will be master of ceremonies and David Cameron to present the trophy and talk about his book.

Please inform if you have any issues with the scores as listed above and we will be glad to explain to you that this is merely a problem of communication. We will then go into a discussion phase for a few hours and then carry on as before.

More to come.
I always say that everybody's right.
