Cricinfo is guessing the pace attack will be A&B+ Archer.

Those from a more cynical disposition might think that its all a load of nonsense, and that all of this painting him as a troubled character deeply affected is just a smokescreen to bury the accountability of his actions among messages of sympathetic support. I can see how, if he really is struggling to bring himself to bowl in the nets and has no motivation, he wouldnt have been sent home. And certainly wouldnt be in selection consideration.

Or maybe he has gone full 2013 Steve Finn and is currently crying to himself while sending down mid paced long hops to a cardboard cut out of Steve Smith

Cornwall for Joseph.

Anderson and Archer for Crawley and Curran. Too many Cs and not enough As in the last game.

Sibley/Burns/Root/Stokes/Pope/Buttler/Woakes/Bess/Broad/Archer/Anderson.

Bold from England. I guess this means Stokes won't bowl. Archer has suffered enough, and Root is back at three like it's magnetic.

well they'd better hope they can score some runs. Buttler at 6 fills me with no confidence whatsoever. Essentially England are a batsman short and so are presumably gambling on taking wickets, but that only works if you can score runs too

I see Gabriel is still playing. Lets hope he's still as knackered as he looked in the last test

Said it in the first test, you get the ball angling into Sibley he's a goner. He's rode his luck early in every test, no luck today.

A puzzling player, Sibley. Massive technical issues mixed with seemingly a concentration level when set that is impressive. Going to be a very up and down type of player I guess.

Predictably poor start from England. The batting looks thin - get Root and Stokes early, and you fancy England will fall in a heap. They so often do anyway.

Hopefully batting first will be the advantage they need to take the series.

No, I think we can say he was attempting a shot, but the shot itself came from the Chris Martin handbook of defensive play.
