A bit of a concern for England that Sundar could make so many runs earlier in the day. But then if the conditions have deteriorated since then, that justifies England's tactics.

Looks as if they want to declare sooner rather than later , judging by Pope's innings and the way Bess has started. Think they'd like a 400 lead but may have to settle for a few less.
And I'm afraid they're not going to have quite as many overs in total at India as the Perfect Scenario would have produced. But you have to give India credit for bowling well today...losing Stokes cheaply messed with the timetable.

Great news for cricket in Eng that this series will be free to watch on TV on channel 4 which will hopefully mean that lots of youngsters will be watching cricket

Feels like India are bowling really slowly so it seems like little is happening.

Five overs for this wicket and 12 runs. Doesn't really work for me.

I wonder if England are just taking time out of the game to make sure that India have no chance of chasing it down?

If they are, it seems a very odd thing to do when the game is there to be won
