Maybe Peter Moores is back as England coach. It is about time he was back.

England should still win the game, even though they've improved India's chances of drawing it. Should still bowl India out inside 110 overs.

Bess gone now so they're likely going to be bowled out anyway.

Appears they have set themselves to have about an hour to bowl tonight - and wanted no more than that. Presumably the theory is that if they can't bowl India out in 105 overs they won't be bowling them out at all . Seems unduly pessimistic.

Or optimistic I suppose . Depends which way you look at it. I'd have thought they'd have wanted nearer 115 overs but we know they can be a bit stubborn with these plans .

The thing that puzzles me though is : why then did the likes of Root and Pope go hell for leather earlier in the day ? Could have taken their time and got here a lot more comfortably...

Nominally 21 overs left. But if they close now , they actually have one hour to bowl.

They won't have 110 overs though. 90 , plus whatever they get tonight. So 105 , tops. Should be enough , I think. But they're leaving India a bit more of an escape hatch than I would.
