I can't help but think that if it had been really gloomy instead of bright and sunny the umpires would have made us keep playing for another half hour, citing overs lost that had to be made up. At Chelmsford we were made to play until 7.15 to make up overs lost to the weather

Indeed. I can't see Warwickshire getting out of it unless there's a lot of time lost - the one scenario though is we have what should be plenty of time to take 10 wickets only for an unlikely tail end partnership to save the day!

So what do we think the plan is for today?

bat until lunch and/or we have a 300 lead, then put them in? Try and bowl them out without bating again, but knowing that we can bat again if necessary?

I'd hate to bat on and on and then banking on us bowling them out in the last 4 sessions..... because we know how well that worked against Notts and Derbys

well the batsmen got to 300 lead and started to walk off as if it had all been arranged, only to turn around because the signal hadn't come

Now this happened in the Derby game too, so it's becoming a bit of a pattern. Half an hour to lunch... it's the perfect time to declare isn't it?
