The comment I picked up on stream was that DURHAM haven't conceded a century. Seem to recall Westley getting a double century against them 1st game of the season.

Yes, think Emmerson said the highest score against us was Tom Moores who made 90 something.

As opposed to ourselves where all of our top six have each scored at least one century.

I wonder when that last happened- just 5 games too. They usually don't all score hundreds over a season!

Ah right..... clearly I misunderstood

seemingly Borthwick shelled D'olly as well from second slip. It's becoming annoying

Still..... he bowled quite tidily under no pressure today and he did have the sense to bring in a short leg after Wood rapped Mitchell on the hand

and he handled the rotation of the seamers well this afternoon, which is probably why wickets fell regularly and they were spread around the bowlers. Carse is developing the habit of picking up a wicket with his first ball of each spell

We all know that Carse can be a bit erratic at times, but he's quietly picked up 23 wickets off his 4 matches, just 3 behind the master in a game less. Rushy will, quite rightly, always get the plaudits, but Carse is proving to be very effective this season.

Alex Gidman told crapinfo that Durham were best attack that his boys have faced so far this season, and they've played every other team in the group

Yes, it's odd that his batting and fielding seems so jittery, normally I'd expect it from a captain under pressure but that's not the case. Perhaps he's trying too hard. With a bit of luck he'll get a big score next game and that will settle him down.

I do think that Wood makes a big difference to the balance of our attack. It'll be interesting to see how we fare once he heads back off on England duty

Archer only bowled 5 overs for Sussex in the second innings. If he's niggled the injury he was recovering from, then Woody will surely go straight into the first test against NZ

Will Young might have pushed his case for inclusion in that series

perhaps in the back of his mind he feels that he has a point to prove and that's getting in the way a bit. I don't remember him being that clumsy before he jumped ship

Very impressive after struggling last season. Useful runs too - in a Times report in mentioned that the coaches think he could end up batting in the top 6...7 will do for me!
And of course making big scores means his economy rate/inconsistent spells don't matter so much as when we had 120 to defend.

One thing I don't think has been cleared up - if Bancroft is only playing 4 day cricket- and the wording announcing his return suggests he is - who will be the 2nd overseas player in T20 and who is going to be captain?
I suppose all the uncertainty surrounding international travel makes it nigh on impossible to make definite plans
