I enjoyed watching our bowlers operate in one over spells

don't let 'em settle Capt Mainwaring

I thought Bangers controlled that quite nicely

I see Steel waited all season to get his first airing for Leics and he got a first baller

He batted all innings last night for 54* out of 156-5 chasing 172. Had a few good days.

A great win. Carse is increasingly impressive with bat and ball. I thought our score might not have been as good as 180 often is but Bairstow was the only one who got on top of the bowlers. I was watching the DLS on the scoreboard and it was pretty much neck and neck when he was there but once he went even the occasional expensive over that kept them in touch with it never seemed likely to be a problem.
Very impressive performance overall.

Potts seemed to get pretty cross about a no ball call late on, after he'd beaten the batsman all ends up. It looked as if it earned him a rebuke from the umpire as he walked past

It'd be interesting to know how many spectators were in. It was ( I believe) supposed to be a 4 thousand cap but it looked like a bigger crowd to me - when I went in there was no 'checking in to a venue'!
The pavilion looked pretty much full and the other stands were pretty busy.

If officialdom arrives and questions the size of the crowd just open the trapdoors. Problem solved

Almost unbelievable. I've been out and stopped checking the score after our mid-innings collapse. Got in to find out we won with an over to spare. Why Leicestershire got rid of Eckersley is a mystery.

"Words" between Wor Ned and his ex-colleagues at the end of the game. Then they started arguing amongst themselves as Blaydon Races rang around Grace Road.
