Raine is an odd one

2 years ago he scratched about with the bat and got mullered with the ball
last year he thumped loads of runs and barely bowled
this year he can't buy a run, but has 8 wickets for not too many

I'd have Bangers at 3, drop Raine down. On current form it should be Carse batting up the order

I'd prefer not to see Burnham in the side at all.... What happened to Dickson?

We're missing Lees badly

I'd go with that. Used to have too msny bowling options, now there's too many batting ones in terms of the order. Raine and Bancroft gone tonight within the space of a few balls but I think Bancroft coming out at 3 after the flying start would have been the best move.

The returning Dickson has replaced Poynter in the squad for tonight's game. Lancashire look like another formidable outfit with bat and ball so we'll need a considerable improvement to challenge them.

A member of the support staff has tested positive for covid - statement from the club says several members of the playing squad are isolating! Will be interesting to see if any are first team regulars. Game is going ahead tonight.

I did think about going tonight, because it's going to toss it down on Sunday, but it's been a busy week and like Tuesday, I'm blooming tired, so an evening in my comfy chair feels more inviting if I'm honest.

and a 9.30 finish is way past my bedtime, even without the travel home

and it's only T20

and I have no idea how the whole limited capacity thing works, given that T20 draws bigger numbers

3 home games in the same week is one of the reasons why the Silly is so disruptive to good cricket in general. How many people will want to go to 3 matches in a week? Just as well that there is reduced capacity, because it gives the ECB something to blame
