Summer up perfectly on Espn report
"In the final session Durham dabbled in left field when Eckersley shed the keeper's pads to deliver an over of enigmatic off spin. Its fiendish variations did not bring a wicket but clearly scrambled the minds of the batting side which promptly fell in a heap".

The entire England ODI squad are in isolation so Stokes has been named captain of a new squad - the rest of it will be announced today! It's going go make a mockery of this round of games and all domestic cricket for - at least - the next few weeks.

Carse,as well as Stokes missing from the Durham squad warning up. Clark amongst them and Burnham on his way according to Marty. Briggs missing from Warks squad.
You couldn't make it up.
Probably fairer to run a computerised game to decide this round of games.

Yes! I wonder what would have happened if the ODI squad were playing in a World Cup.

Have they just been pulled straight away? I presumed they would leave after the match finished. Is the Pakistan series that close?

Shame Gentle Ben couldn't go after he batted.

Durham have lost an allrounder and a bowler and replaced them with 2 batsmen.

that's not a criticism, btw, I imagine this caught everyone on the hop, but it's just as well that Eckersley has such an impact when he gets the ball in his hand

Yes, surely could have left after today's play.

Notts have thumped Derbys whilst Durham and Warks shelter under brollies

Assuming this ends as a draw, then next week we have to beat Notts, probably with more bonus points than them and then keep our fingers crossed that Worcs put up enough of a fight to not lose to Warks and hope that our bonus points trumps that of Warks and maybe even Essex if they also flay Derbys.

see what happens tomorrow, I suppose, but I think we have to hope that we can find a way to get at least 4 batting points or the game is probably up. I doubt there will be enough time to win, even if tomorrow's showers are unexpectedly kind to us and stay away from Edgbaston

Yes, can't see it being anything other than a draw unless something remarkable happens. Apparently the lbw decision to see off Bancroft was a shocker and the Dickson one wasn't much better.

ah well...... if you don't want to risk the umpire getting an lbw decision horribly wrong, don't get rapped on the pads
