335 looks like a good score but wonder if we should have made a few more? Pity one of the openers couldn't keep going for a bit longer but can't complain about an opening stand of 230!

Ball driven along the ground to mid off, Rushy goes down on one knee to collect the ball, which suddenly rears up and flies over his head. Could very easily have hit him in the face. The ball must have hit a divot or a lump or something

What happened?? I'm out on my travels, saw they needed about 40 from 3 overs and assumed we'd easily defend it! They won with 2 balls to spare
The poor finish to our innings has cost us but surely we should have still been able to win from the position we were in with a few overs to go.
Seems as if that wobble right at the end against Middlesex wasn't a fluke, although I suppose these outgrounds with short boundaries make late twists more likely.

If our death over bowling is going to get flogged then we need to find a way of scoring 400 every match

Presumably that last over wasn't one of Rushworth's better ones! Trouble is he isn't used to bowling at the death now that he doesn't play T20. Not that's much of an excuse given he was defending 16 and the first ball was a dot.
If Bedingham, ( rested according to Emmerson) had been playing we probably would have got 350 plus.

The 1st ball was only a dot because he refused an easy single to retain the strike,wisely.
The next 3 were wide of off stump right in the batsman's slot. Rushy's not a Yorker specialist- not do I want him to be one if it affects his red ball length.

Well Dickson is definitely redeeming himself in these white ball games. 179/6 in the 33rd over to 327/6. Excellent contribution by Doneathy too. I think Emmerson said Dickson's previous best was 99.
It looks like a formidable score- but it won't be if the bowling doesn't improve.

Just threatened to lose control in tbose middle overs but never really in doubt otherwise.
Doneathy will probably get drafted into The 100!
This competition is a bit of a farce but if is providing opportunities for some younger plsyers and so far so good from ours.

After the ineptitude of the ECB, compounded by the ineptitude of the Durham director of cricket, who between them have managed to reduce cricket at the Riverside to two 50 over games in the 6 weeks that represents the height of summer, the non-cricket watching members (non watching because there is sod all to watch) now face the very real prospect of a shambolic Sunday dodging the rain instead of enjoying that tiny bit of cricket

I confess that there has been so little cricket that want to watch that I've stopped bothering with it for the season really. I'm spending much more time watching other sports this season..... so...... way to go ECB and way to go director Marcus ........ you've all done very well (slow handclap)

still..... there are loads of kids getting free tickets to watch people in brightly coloured clothing play rounders, so why give a toss about the bloke who's spent over £400 for the privilege of watching a couple of days of cricket
