100 on debut for Khusi after being dropped early in his innings!
Target is 232 in 50 overs, just arrived and there's a pretty good crowd- must be down to the key worker ticket giveaway.
Weather looks fine for now - blue skies.

too many runs conceded in the end

Trevaskis goes for plenty again

I like him as a T20 bowler, but he seems to get taken to the cleaners regularly in 50 over cricket

not sure what the options are tbh. We are always short of slow bowlers

Wonder why Doneathy only bowled 4 overs?
50 partnership with no alarms so far.

Well there weren't any alarms! I knew I shouldn't have tempted fate - Clark out for 24.

Match winning 126* from Alex Lees

One of the most entertaining run chases with so many twists and turns right to the end. The opening stand suggested it would be a straightforward chase, then a wicket and Borthwick scratching around before he seemed settled...and then got out. Bancroft and Bedingham out in quick succession as the runs dried up made me think Essex were favourites only for Dickson and Lees to turn the tide...until Dickson got out. And on it went - 3 to win with Rushy in at number 10 could easily have gone disastrously wrong but Lees hit a 4 to wrap up a simple win. :lmao

South African born so how does he qualify to play, presumably as non-overseas, when Bedingham doesn't?
Didn't endear himself to the Riverside faithful by fielding a ball which was clearly over the boundary and not signalling so. Doubt Pop would have been impressed.

I'm assuming conditions are bowler friendly at Worcester? If they're not we look like being well under par with the bat and the other problem is that our attack looks fragile with Rushworth out injured. I see Borthwick was run out again and Bancroft's poor form continues. Lees on the other hand is having a great season.

Good cameo from Eckersley. Now to see if this depleted attack can defend 289.

It's a several times used pitch so it's a defendable total even with this attack,IF we bowl with discipline.
