I'm in the mix, certainly.
at the start of this comp I thought I'd made a strategic error going for (what I thought were going to be) top order batsmen. The bowler friendly nature of the pitches at the start and then the captains mixing their teams around to shove my unique players down the order made me feel that I'd be lucky to finish outside the bottom 3, but actually it has worked out about as well as I could have hoped for under the circumstances.

It's up to those unique players to do the business now, but I'm 100 points behind and there's only 2 matches left. Usually by now, it's fairly clear who is going to triumph, but this one will go all the way to the wire, I reckon, and it'll be a very close final table.

the leaders both have Maxwell, so it comes down to Southee -v- Marsh and Conway

I have no idea how this will pan out, but after these semi finals, that's probably quite fitting

I hate to say this, but I think you've made a mistake somewhere. Red and I had the same players active in yesterday's game, didn't we?

depends what you mean by yesterday... if you mean Aus/Pak then you both had Maxwell, but Red had Babar and you had Rizwan.

although I've just checked and you didn't pick Rizwan, you picked Babar, so I have got it wrong and I've had it wrong all the way through.... they are next to each other on my spreadsheet......... that's embarrassing

Although Rizwan outscored Babar by 58 points in the semi, Babar outscored Rizwan over the whole comp by 32 points, so you have a 32 point lead going into the final

I wasn't expecting that, thought I'd end up about 50 points behind you - thought you'd mistakenly assigned someone to me just for Australia/Pakistan

certainly it is

(I had Southee as favourite even before he gained a 32 point cushion)

after the first round of matches, this was not a FL that expected to win, so I won't be disappointed if I finish second

Surprised I was the only one to pick Southee, but win or lose in the final, he's been a great pick - his form in T20s over the last year or so has been superb (hence my selection).

I think we all missed a trick in that no-one selected Boult. Or Warner, for that matter, but the latter was understandable given his woeful IPL.

Zampa has been consistently good and not picked enough either. I made that mistake in the Big Bash comp last year too. I won't repeat it.
