Why does Trev always come in after Carse? He always seems to score more runs, more quickly, so I don't understand why we waste deliveries on Carse before bringing him in. Tonight Carse scored 2 off 5 balls late in the innings. Trev scored 16* off 7 balls. The other night Carse faffed about scoring 4 off 7 balls and Trev came in and scored 5 off the 2 balls he faced.

I've had a look at the stats for the season. Carse has scored 77 runs off 70 balls (SR 110) and Trev has 75 off 48 (SR 156) and more significantly he has been not out in 6 of his 8 innings, so it feels to me as though we are leaving runs unscored in most matches. Interestingly they both have the same high score (19), but Trev's was 19 not out

That Trev comes in at 9 or 10, yet has batted in every match, also tells me that we lose too many wickets in these matches and that has to be because we don't get enough runs at the top of the order

I'm trying to work out what team we are going to put out tomorrow and it doesn't look good

If Dicko is still injured then we only have one opener in Jones. Our number 3 has gone home early, our number 4 is injured so I won't be surprised to find Mr Ned batting at 5 and I think Robinson will end up playing even though he's a T20 loan signing.

No Potts, but Carse will hopefully be available as the Netherland series doesn't start until the 17th

what's really daft is that in a line up with hardly any batters in it, Raine is too low down at 10

Worcestershire might be bolstered by Moeen Ali who generally tears county opposition to shreds with both bat and ball, so the comparison between the two sides couldn't be more stark

Early signs that Sowter may be a useful acquisition for late season CC games,finally depositing Borthwick's filth for good.I'll hold my breath.

Yes, Carse and Lees were very much in the England frame so the only unexpected loss is Potts - and we struggled for numbers at times last year without the international calls. It was a big risk not to strengthen during the winter and the Potts loss plus a couple of injuries have proven it to be a big mistake.

I'm not at all suprised Petersen went home.... I do it all the time these days.... watching us make the same mistakes over and over again, year in, year out, is more than I can take at times

They've just confirmed Ravindra signing and North cites England call ups and injuries( plural) presumably then referring to both Dickson and Borthwick.Both Clark and Bushnell only alternatives but no squad named as yet.
So don't get there early and don't pack your whites.

Increasing talk of a test return for Moeen but luckily for us he's not in their squad.
