Ravindra has had a bowl now. Has to be worth the try

Ah yes day 3! It's been almost as exciting as the test match! :lmao
Before I gave up the ghost and watched the end of the test Ravindra had what looked to me to be a plumb lbw shout turned down. Not that it would have made much difference!

ah well, at least we've bowled them out and are batting again, so the poor old bowlers (7 of the 9 at least) can have a sit down for a bit and try to recover from their ordeal in time for Yorks on Friday

oh aye... straight off. Ravindra couldn't even be bothered to wait until he got the 4 runs needed for his half century

there'll be a lot of bowlers thinking 'thank *modded* for that' this evening

Yes, very poor wicket. Although I think both sides have pretty ordinary attacks, we've seen Potts and the Notts bowlers get wickets on these surfaces so we definitely need a potent spinner or bowlers with a bit of nip.

Raine's figures were very respectable whilst both Coggers and Trevaskis were tidy. I fear it's the end of the road for Rushy playing wise but hopefully they'll find a coaching role for him.
I don't think Campbell is any great loss. McAlinden and Killeen jnr look the best prospects, hope they'll be given opportunities in RL50.

Yes, thought the bowlers kept plugging away but it looks as if taking 20 wickets on these types of surfaces is tricky for most teams. It might psy off in the long run if teams have to develop spinners and pace bowlers. Rushy though seems totally at a loss on good pitches, Salisbury too so that's a big concern.
In a strange way it puts pressure on the batting because anything other than big totals is likely to prove disastrous!

Turner back in the squad for tonight replacing the injured Bedingham Meanwhile Carse is not playing for England although we can't complain given that Malan, Willey and Rashid are!

Yorkshire won the toss and are batting. Wonder why Tye isn't playing? Bedingham is missing so we've only got one overseas. Unless he's picked up an injury in the warmups it's a strange omission.

Probably said I did a mate a favour by stepping in for him when he got injured. If you think I'm sticking around with this crap now he's recovered you can do one. Club clearly never checked his availability when naming squad.

Lyth finally gone and now Borthwick on a hat trick! Dot ball.
It's not looking as bad as it did a few overs ago but will still be chasing well over 200 barring a miracle. By chasing I mean attempting to chase - successfully chasing it will require a miracle!
