I've looked up SS scorecards on Cricket Archive. Against a number of games it's stated
"Match cancelled owing to travel and quarantine complications arising from Covid19" .

the table looked odd this year. lots of matches didn't seem to get played. As long as Boris doesn't become Australia's PM any time soon, that should have settled down by next winter (summer). Was it Covid or fires or floods, or what?

Probably just as well that the teams who played more matches still ended up behind WA and V in the final table, otherwise things might have been a bit messy

I didn't realise, but this now means that all male domestic competitions in Aus went to WA this season - The BBL, the One Day comp and the SS.

Scorchers also won the WBBL.

Doing it with an unsettled squad and a weak seam attack is one almighty achievement. Finn Allen is unavailable for Finals Day and who knows which England players will be available, as there is an India ODI at Old Trafford on the Sunday.

Got my ticket for Finals Day. I'm more excited about this one than the 2016 and 2012 editions. Maybe down the euphoria of winning in a losing position and against a team who were runaway South Group winners.

Yorkshire just didn't bowl and field well enough. Players felt sorry for themselves and applied zero pressure on the Lancashire batsmen.

But what an ending to the final. The Blast never disappoints when it comes to dramatic matches.

Cardiff was good, Edgbaston 2016 was disappointing.

This year we were on the top tier of the corner stand, which was too far from the action. Difficult to justify charging £89 when it is effectively a restricted view. There was a couple of fanzones around the ground. One of them was a covers band dressed in glam and played some random songs for the crowd to sing. Filled a fair bit of time between Semi Final 2 and the Final. Also took some of the sting off losing to Lancashire.

Enjoyable, but long days. Setting off at 6.45am on Saturday after working lates on Friday, not arriving back until 2.30am on Sunday. Getting the train to Birmingham is a non starter as the last one to Leeds is like 9pm. I volunteered to drive with four other friends in tow (not bothered about drinking when it comes to events).

I've noticed that the closer we get to the business end of the hundred, the more the big names have discovered that they've got something better to do..... even if it's only the 6ixty. There are almost none left, which feels appropriate, tbh.... and probably what it deserves

and, of course, with a 7 match T20 series with Pakistan in the offing, almost all the England players who would have been in that squad are now out injured after playing in the hundred, meaning England will have to pick an expanded squad in case some or all of the injured players don't make it to full fitness in time. Things are so desperate for England that they might have to name Tom Curran in the squad

it'll have to, because it's England's major preparation for the T20 WC. It'd be hard to pass over a 7 match practice series
