If Bazball with the bat is the modern face of the game, with the ball its been traditional joining the dots type bowling. Australia haven't had a lot to work with, and made mistakes despite the lack of real movement on offer. Maybe Travis Head will have a hit and try to put England on the back foot, but another quick wickeet and the state of the game really means they have to get some form of useful partnership on the board. if its around a 100-4, Australia are in deep do do..

Mo gets his wicket, Head before he could really get up steam.

Hmm. JB1 misses an easy stumping that Foakes would have gobbled.

Mostly Stokes, Mo and a bit of filler until the new ball?

Mo gets Green before the new ball. A huge bonus.

Carey is pretty dangerous customer though.

Indeed. Feels like the match is in the balance with this partnership. Australia need this to go long, because there isnt much after that. If England snag another soon, 300 feels very a lot of runs away.

Was about this stage yesterday Bairstow and Root got a foothold in the game... but Australia will have to see out a new ball this evening

Australia wont like how much the ball is turning on day 2. Not been consistent, but the odd one really grips.... going to get harder to bat on this as the game goes on
