Yes. superb innings and even though the game was over in double quick time I think we might have had half a chance if he had gone early- Ryan Campbell didn't seem impressed by the two drops but I think that is harsh. He also seemed to be holding himself back when asked about The Hundred - said he wasn't going to get into the politics of it but seemed to say that the rules for releasing players back to the counties haven't been properly thought through ( surely not!) , he suggested insurance issues are a reason we haven't had players back. Not sure what that means but it suggests someone has modded up along the line.

well, Pottsy hasn't played in any of the 5 games for Yorkshire Elephantintheroom's and yet hasn't been offered back to us. My understanding was that players missing two twaddly games were suppose to be made available to their counties, but that hasn't happened. That might be England, of course, but all the other England players bar Stokes are being allowed to play. He might be injured, but I haven't heard that he is

It does seem strange. Canpbell didn't seem happy about it - it sounds as if the franchise teams don't have to release players if they don't want to.

He travelled down on the Saturday morning from Leicester but discovered en route that he'd been called into the matchday squad by his franchise. He took a taxi to Cardiff, where he wasn't selected to play and had to take a taxi back to Southampton to help Leicester beat Hampshire
