Root has a couple of fifties and has England's second most runs. It's Bairstow who is having the nightmare. And Buttler has contributed little.

Oasis in the desert type knocks..... since summer 2019, he averages 28 in ODI, and this year 23 (this knock not counted, so maybe closer to dead on 20)...

He hasn't justified his place in the ODI team for 4.5 years....

No idea, fluffy. I thought it might click into gear in the tournament after a few years where we haven't been a great side, but the performance at this tournament has been a total abomination.

All I can say is, I wouldn't want to be caught in the deep whistling on camera, because the post-tournament mandatory investigation won't look fondly on that
