Speaking of T20, I see that Bas came on for Holland, took 2 wickets in his first over against Ireland and still ended up going for 43 off his 4 overs

thank goodness he won't be playing in the Dribble for us until the WC is over at least

I would have liked to have popped down today once I realised there weren't going to be any delays, but sadly I've had a sparky in all day doing some work and now the kids will coming after school

He may well have done but I cant remember.

It'd be interesting to know what our average is for the 1st and 2nd wickets. Seem to always be two down straight away.
19/2 after 6 overs has a familiar feel to it.

And Pretorius is out of the game with concussion- Jake Ball is the replacement. He could be a real handful...if he is required to bowl.

It's just as well that Stokes is taking wickets and moving freely, because his batting isn't worth a dime atm. I think he's scored 2 runs in 3 innings. By my reckoning that gives him a season batting average of 0.67

So we have a load of players who can't score more than a couple of runs and yet Bedders scores 100 with apparent ease in conditions where almost everyone (Pretorius and Robbo being the only other exceptions) has been in trouble with the bat. What a player he is. I can understand entirely why he changed his mind about qualifying for England. He said he was at peak right now and didn't want to wait a couple of years and he was spot on with that assessment.

I was going to go down after lunch tomorrow, but I may have to rethink that because I can't be sure that the match will last that long

4 hundreds in a row for Bedingham- and it's just as well.
That pitch reminded me of the old bowler's paradise days, so it's frustrating but not too surprising we lost those late wickets. Overall though the batting is a worry, so reliant on Bedders and Robinson.
Forecast looks iffyy for the last two days so we need to make the most of tomorrow, need to get that lead up to 100 in the morning.
