It's not too cold. I'm always pessimistic in these games, as you say it should be manageable but I think we need to have a good power play, thought Leicester did well in theirs and seemed set for a big score bit then struggled.
Mind you I'd probably regard 140 as tricky in perfect conditions!

I left early and had the commentary on as I was heading back - was about to kick myself as the partnership built...and then came the disastrous run out! So it turned out to be a good decision. I thought we'd struggle but that partnership really should have been the game changer. Sounds like panic ensued once Turner went.

At least the defeat didn't come as a nasty shock - the collapses at the beginning and end are a speciality- and the chances of 3 wins in a row remote.
The trouble is that it's 2 lacklustre home games and that can't help ticket sales going forward. I'm going to give the Lancs game a miss!

Last year we won 2 away games back to back and then lost the next 7 or 8 on the trot

We don't seem to know how to bring the best out of what we've got. The closest we came was when Colly was capt and we set big boundaries because we didn't really have any big six hitters in the side, whereas everyone else had loads. Set the ropes back as far as we could and ran as many 2's and 3's as we could. Got us to finals day.

With our fragile batting and low batting confidence, having tricky pitches to play on just seems like tying one arm behind everyone's back. Surely after 21 years and with all the experience we've had available to us over those years, we could have come up with some sort of plan.... even if it's the old Hampshire plan of preparing dust bowls and packing the side with spinners.... something... anything

Don't just keep making the same mistakes year after year after year
