England will be wondering about Australia's pace line up. I imagine they haven't face too many overs from Johnson, Ellis and Dwarshuis.

Presume England had to look up Tanveer Sangha on wikipedia. But not playing. Nor Fraser-McGurk. Lots of other new names though. Must be a long time since they didn't face at least one of the stalwart pace trio.

England reserves- Banton, Mahmood, Overton, Atkinson don't suggest a plan B.

I thought 8pm on Saturday night was pretty nice. 5pm would have been better, but I am not complaining.

Smashed straight back towards long off all the ground for 4

Pitch has very low bounce but also looks very flat

Not sure if 280 is par or 380 is

2 wickets gifted as usual, both hitting half vollies to mid on

Somebody needs to make a run a ball hundred and not bat like it's a t20

2nd wicket to Ben Dwarshuis. Jamie survived few balls back when the ball went just over Alex Carey but this time Alex did not have to do much to catch it.

Eng 43/2.

Maxwell into the attack. Joe and Ben Duckett are playing well. With Liam Livingstone at 7, England have a good chance to post a big score. So far 88/2 in 12.1 overs.

Well executed by Ben Duckett. Down the wicket on last ball and tonks over long on for 6. 11 run over by Maxwell.

England 102/2 in 14 overs.

Joe and Ben have scored 70 run partnership in 64 balls. Both have played the overs and scored at acceptable rate without much bother. The run rate is 7. Austtalia needs wickets to restrict England from giving a big target to chase.

Commentary team thinks its a road, but I am with you.... not really sure on the par score, because its the kind of pitch taking pace off the ball can tie up an end.

Hit over midwicket and the 4 takes Ben Duckett to run-a-ball 50. :clap

He has batted well although there is not much for the bowlers on this wicket. The execution of shots has been good. No false shots apart from the couple of wrong ones bowled by Adam Zampa to him.

Guess this innings so far sums up England somewhat.

Salt has been rubbish vs anyone good, and isn't really a great 50 over play - so lots of flashbang starts that go nowhere.

And I have absolutely no idea how Jamie Smith is batting 3 in ODIs for England.

Two players with actual 50 over pedigree.... ah look, doing well.
