Should be Honest Joe's first ton of 25. Seems that old thing about him getting out between 30-100 is long gone. Well done to Gentle Ben also. But feels like India's day.

Looking at Root's stats, he could do with a great Ashes this winter, as Australia is the only real weakness on his record.

Now Kohli has retired, KW doesn't play much and Smith is in decline, Root is the last of his generation of great bats still somewhere near his peak. Maybe best bat in the world (in Tests) at last.

Not if England keep feeding Brook roads to bat on.

Wiped out Englands day yesterday in a few overs.

Jamie Smith has played really well this series once he is in, but in each innings he's had some luck with the ball scrapping past his edge a few times early on. I guess as they say, sometimes you need to be in true form to miss those balls. Bumrah giving him a really thorough going over atm

Another first baller.

Bumrah has actually knocked over the stumps of 4,5 and 6.

Wood's par of 300 is not quite there..

Not sure what they make these Dukes balls out of, but it is so tedious to see teams constantly banging on at the umpire because the ball has gone egg shaped again. The ball manufacturer needs to sort it out, as its 5 times per ball at the moment.... and meanwhile, rather than watch the fielding captain moaning every 5 minutes, just get on with it and bowl.

Changed the ball, and within 5 overs its turned into an egg.....the public are getting ripped off enough with lost overs as it is, if we have to spent 15 minutes an hour pushing eggs through rings then we will end with 50 overs a day. Pathetic...

Quite a blow this for India. Must have thought this would be done by lunch and time for the bowlers to park their feet.

Another fifty for Smith. Going to be more of a push for him to bat at six.
