it feels a little as though we've risked the whole season for this tournament and this moment. Will we rise to the occasion or will we stuff it up? Hampshire's white ball season is on a roll, while we've allowed ours to splutter and fizzle out

I'd have Hampshire as favourites although playing at home should be an advantage. The bowling is a worry- conceded a lot of runs in the One Day Cup, although that was a weakened attack.

Let's be honest... if you concede 221 in a QF after choosing to bowl, you ain't going to finals day

I see that Clarky got out early after sitting on his hands for a month doing nothing for somebody else's team.... the bookies wouldn't have even given you odds on that happening

we are 3 down and 30 runs behind

thank goodness we are going to win our last 3 CC games, because our QF is looking like a shambles and our 50 over campaign was a shambles, so relegation to div 2 would top off a disastrous season. Still.... Clarky had a nice rest in August, Parky had a really nice rest as, presumably, did Neesham (unless he's jetting half way around the world for this). Surprised he is still around. I hope he wasn't banking on playing 3 more matches for us

Campbell will be pleased he got his contract extension nice and early, before the season disintegrated into dust

this is such a hiding that we have spent the last 5 overs of the game protecting our NRR..... for reasons unbeknown to me

Disastrous performance. No recovering this time from the bowling power play. Might have been a good toss tp have lost considering Hampshire were planning on bowling too but it really couldn't have been a worse display.
The bowling in all formats has been mainly awful.

I noticed that we had Ben Raine coming in ahead of Robbo who top scored but had no time left to win the game

we've done that before with BR and it hardly ever comes off.

The 100 seems to disproportionately hamper our attempts to advance past the QF's because our players are bought by the franchises mainly as back up for their real stars. Clark only played because Miller had to miss a couple of games. Weirdly a 100 team of our own might actually improve our T20 dribble fortunes, because at least we'd probably play our own players instead of leaving them to rot for a month

although we'd probably lose 50% of our core support by selling up to the Saudis and naming the franchise team the Newcastle Magpies or the Blayden Races

I wouldn't be leaving it long before getting harmer on....ball not doing much for the seamers at all, both openers look comfortable and both lefties...I would get him on sooner rather than later
