As much as Stokes career will be limited by his body, it will be limited by his mental condition. He has been open about having mental health issues, and even the toughest guys can only take so much pressure of expectation, leadership and long tours like the last Ashes one where you are under the gun 24/7.

Some people choose to play on at the top, some will choose to cash in and fill the bank.... fair play to whichever players choose. But Stokes strikes me as a man that might enjoy playing the sport he loves in a place he loves, without the high stakes and constant scrutiny.

I personally think its how I'd like to end. Enjoying what time I have left playing for my own side. IPL franchises offer big rewards, but come with big demands. I think Stokes turning up for Durham and scoring nowt per game will still impact attendances in the positive.

But this is academic. Until he decides hes done, he's still England captain

the 8 remaining teams in this year's T20 WC have automatically qualified for 2028. Aus have also qualified, but only as co-hosts, otherwise they would have had to suffer the indignity of having to come through the qualifying rounds in 2027.

Given how much Haddin was chuckling on his podcast about how sh1t England have been in this WC, perhaps he ought to momentarily reflect on how lucky Australia have been to avoid all that, after being humbled in this WC.

Seemingly England have been utterly laughable, but Aus were just a bit unlucky that JH and PC were injured and a bit silly for not picking Steve Smith...... England-esque Brad!

An organisation employing people in the UK directly and openly discriminating based on race? This has nothing to do with the ECB, its the police that need to lay down the law. Starting by arresting the 4 owners involved under the provision of the 2010 Equality Act would be a start. It would be nice if the captain of our national team would consider making a stance also, particularly when we have a player of Pakistani heritage in the team. Not sure Brook saying "thats a shame" is enough.

If anyone is not welcome in domestic cricket, its billionaires who want to tear up 150 year plus counties.....

ECB won't do anything as they will be shitting themselves about the owners selling up and buggering off as always money will take precedent it's utterly ridiculous

having wrapped up a T20 series victory 3-0, England lions are thumping Pakistan in the first ODI. Bowled the Shaheens out for 152 and currently 114-1 in reply needing 39 runs in 31 overs

the Lions match today in the UAE has been cancelled. I wouldn't be surprised if the players were sent home shortly. The WI and England T20 WC squads are meant to fly home via Dubai after their tournament ends. I'm guessing that may have to change

The question now isn't if they should come home it's how they come home? All airports in area closing and entire middle east now seemingly involved in this
