Kambli averaged 54 in test cricket, and has the 7th highest FC average for players with a 100 games in cricket history.

He was dropped because he was a Dalit. Not because he couldn't play.

Sussex, it has nothing to do with his caste. Many players have played for India who were from different religions, let alone caste.

His test performances dropped after having a first great year. He also got into arguments with captain after being drunk. Too many dscipline issues and lack of professionalism and work culture. Karun Nair too was dropped after his 300.

Now to his ODI performances; he got injured in the Hero cup iirc fileding at mid-off. Ankle injury. Was probably 20 years ago. He then made a comeback but then again could not get over his bad patch. Also a fielder to hide during bowling innings. Dropped for perfromances in ODI as well.

He just could not manage the initial success, got wayward with discipline and alcohol addiction, performances dropped as well.

A full compliment of T20 World Cup players this week with nobody featuring outside of that competition.

Weekly Top 5

1. Pathum Nissanka - 282 - Was looking worryingly out of nick up to this point of the year but burst into life with a century and a half century against Australia and Zimbabwe. When he is at his best, there are few better.

2. Aiden Markram - 214 - Continuing his fine spell of form with 114 runs scored over two T20 games....impressively he did better against the Test nation than he did the Associate.

3. Sam Curran - 213 - Not doing anything phenomenal (few English players are) but he is doing just enough with both bat and ball to feature in the weekly Top 5 for the second week in a row.

4. Travis Head - 168 - Something of a case of too little too late for the stand-in Aussie captain as he saved two decent performances for when his team were already on the brink. 27 points in the first two weeks and 168 in the last says it all.

5. Rachin Ravindra- 142 - Nothing like a knock against an Associate side to build confidence. RR is having a torrid time this year but bagged his first half century against Canada to see him pip into the Top 5 for the week.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 1302 - Despite the points spraying around in the T20 World Cup, for Vaibhav to still have a 200+ lead is really something special.

2. Quinton De Kock - 1085- A comparatively quiet week for QDK. He is now looking over his shoulder rather than into the distance as he has a lead of just 28 off third.

3. Sam Curran - 1057 - Despite being one of the highest point scorers this week, Curran is unable to move out of bronze medal position. Still games to play for him though.

4. Aiden Markram - 1041 - Despite his big points haul this week, he does not manage to move out of fourth spot. There is a huge gulf between himself and fifth, the largest anywhere on the List.

5. Harry Brook - 764 - A disappointing week does not see Brook lose his fifth placed position. 42 points sperate him from Saim Ayub in 6th.

Highest Weekly Average

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi = 260.4
2.Ravindra Jadeja = 181.33
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 177.75

Weekly Top 5

1. Harry Brook - 184 - Just as we have seen over the course of the World Cup, one stonking showing will put you in top spot - and Brook had that stonker against Pakistan. Is putting his dismal time towards the end of 2025 behind him.

2. Aiden Markram - 166 - Keeps getting better and better. This is his third successive score of 100+ and no player has scored within a 100 of his 514 points during the World Cup.

3.Rachin Ravindra - 162 - Can't really get his act together with the bat so went huge with the ball this wicket. Impressively he manages to get into the Top 3 this week despite playing only one game. Moves up 3 places on the Overall List

4. Liam Dawson - 157- Finally justifying his place in the England XI with 5 wickets in two games. Takes a huge leap up in the Overall table moving up 3 places to 12th.

5. Quinton De Kock - 153 - Rounds off our Top 5 with 53 runs but also 70 points from field.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 1302 - Third week inactive and likely to be his final week in top spot. The average weekly scores stands at 112 and both second and third are within that bracket below him.

2. Quinton De Kock - 1238 - Shuttles towards first place but also has the gap to third place narrowed. All to play for as the Proteas rumble on.

3. Aiden Markram - 1207 - Rewarded for his fine T20 World Cup with a gradual slide up the Top 5. One week in 5th, two in 4th, now up to third.

4. Sam Curran - 1094 - After 213 points from last week's two games, 37 from this week seems rather underwhelming. Has been punished for it by a drop to 4th.

5. Harry Brook - 948 - Despite his big score this week he stays in 5th. Even more annoyingly, Jansen is still chasing him quite closely with the gap at 160.

Highest Weekly Average

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi = 260.4
2.Ravindra Jadeja = 181.33
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 177.75

Weekly Update

1. Rachin Ravindra - 164 - Perhaps fitting that our last man standing in the T20 World Cup finishes the last full week of the competition in top spot. By some distance impressing more with the ball than the bat put the points all count.

2. Marco Jansen - 105 - Has been doing the business with the ball during the T20 World Cup but sees himself in second place this week courtesy of a half century with the bat. Wasn't enough to see the Proteas into the final though.

3. Jos Buttler - 85 - Bronze place seems generous to a Jos Buttler who has spent this tournament looking like a shadow of a shadow of himself in this tournament.

4. Mehidy Hasan Miraz - 74 - Has had a torrid start to 2026. A victim of geopolitical tension and performing abysmally domestically. He seemed to remember how to play cricket this week though and got a couple of wckets at a decent economy.

5. Harry Brook - 64 - Very generous to get into the Top 5 with a smidge over 50 points but beat off his international compatriot Sam Curran into the fifth place berth.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshii - 1302 - Manages to survive another week in top spot thanks to the entire of the Top 5 scoring a mere 167 points in 8 games of T20 cricket this week. Could now keep hold of it for a few weeks longer.

2. Quinton De Kock - 1248 - Ended the tournament with a whiimperful score of 10 in the closing week. Lucky to have not been knocked off second place.

3. Aiden Markram - 546 - No player has even got close to the 546 points that Markram has scored in the World Cup - but ends it with just 32 and finishes the week 9 points off second.

4. Sam Curran - 1156 - Was the top boy for England in the first half of the tournament (308 in the opening two weeks) and then slumped away at the back end (99 in the last 2 weeks). Holds 4th.

5. Harry Brook - 1011 - Holds fifth place and has a decent cushion on Marco Jansen in 6th spot. Bit of a spell away from cricket now, however.

Highest Weekly Average

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi = 260.4
2.Ravindra Jadeja = 181.33
