I watched a fair bit of the Germany game last night

I nearly switched it off after 10 mins, because it looked like a beating was on the cards..... and then Curacao scored.... which I enjoyed immensely. That kept me interested until HT. It was on the telly in the second half but I was only half watching with the sound off. When Germany got the pen on the stroke of HT, I told Mrs DF that 7 was on the cards

If Sarr wasn't having such a shockingly bad match, with poor touches all the time, France could have been in a lot of trouble in this game. Similarly, Senegal might end up regretting their luck with Jackson shot and Sarr's profligacy with his, if France finally do something positive, or Mbappe finds the touch which up to now has completely deserted him.

Been an entertaining half. Should have been 2-0 Senegal, despite all the France possession. France are playing like Spain and Senegal are pressing as if their lives depend on it and counter attacking at every opportunity
