Where did that come from. Conway then edges behind into the gap (no ball, so wouldn't have counted). Just a hint of a bit of pressure creeping in from that over, need to back it up the other end

When Bashir takes a bit of pace up and has a bit more guts to put the ball fuller, he's looked good. But too many flatter, quicker balls that are just easier to punch around have been the issue.

Atkinson maybe the pick of the seamers. Tongue had a decent first spell keeping it tight, Archer meh, Stokes all over the place.

I'd give Bethell or Root a few overs

NZ heading to the 200 partnership. At this point I think i'd snap your hand off for 350/3 at close, and anything below 600 all out.

30-35 degrees in the first 2 days. This is the literal nightmare scenario for the pace attack England have picked. I imagine by tomorrow Archer will be bowling 1 over spells every new ball
