You sometimes think for a teams own good, they should be dropping batsman who come in before Buttler..... not trying to get him in early enough to make 400 a realistic target.

Just going to put this here..... This is right up there as o e of the best odi performances from a bat I have witnessed.

I suppose the effect of keeping isn't the same as in Tests. ABDV and Gilchrist did well enough.

Yep. Said it for a long time... you want to give people like Jos as many overs as possible.

For me buttlers talent is clouting it in the last 15-20 overs

He tends to knock it around like every batsman when he comes in early

I'd bring him in at 5 or whenever we lose a wicket after over 25 up the order if we don't lose many wickets

It's the same reason I think he is wasted opening in t20, I want him taking 15+ off every over at the end, we have other players who can score quickly with the field up, this guy is a freak in the second half of an innings
