Hurtsy was definitely an Englishman in New York, so that's probably good enough. Have to make sure, it can be a sensitive subject.

I've missed a joke? There is no greater faux pas an Englishman can make! If i am in fact England qualified.

I think I said this somewhere else... but what the hey... I'll say it again. Cook and KP, Finn and Broad, Swann. I'd expect to see these 5 in the opening XI for the WC. I think all the other places are up for grabs, atm. That's probably about as certain as I'd want the side to be with 2 years still to go. I'd probably be happier if we had a nailed on keeper too, at this stage of the process, but I'm being picky really.

I'd like to see Bresnan in the side (but that's just a personal preference) and I'd like a reliable 'finisher'. I had thought that that was going to be Morgan, but perhaps I was jumping the gun a bit.

We could win a WC in UK. Not so sure we are able beyond. England were humiliated in India, who weren't great in Australia. If we do well in Australia/NZ, it'll be our pace attack that will be most prominent. Having two balls will be a help.

Is it? We had that in 2004. Does no one else want to host it? We could win that, especially if we hold it in April.

We lost in the final last time it was here.

There are no guarantees wherever it is. We went out at the first stage last time we hosted the WC but won the 20T in the WIs.
Ian Bell: first England player to 10,000 Test runs.
Stuart Broad: first England player to 400 test wickets.
