I've just read this article and though it is indeed a low score, I have been aware of lower scores in the past.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-18399462When I was a scorer in the early 70s in the "North Manchester League", I was aware of a match a few years earlier where one of the teams was all out for 3. I've just done a little googling and found that this was in 1966.
In the season where I was a scorer, in the very first game the opposition was all out for 17, but more remarkable was that one of the bowlers took 7 wickets for 1 run.
I'd be interested to know of other paltry scores, or any instances of a bowler bettering these figures.
The North Manchester League was not a particular high level league like the Bolton League or Lancashire League, but it still exists today.
