Forgotten men XI. This team didn't win more than 5 Test caps or 15 ODIs And are still playing. And don't have any chance of featuring in the Lions/Test.

this was discussed briefly on cwotv yesterday morning i think after someone had done an article suggesting that given this game clashes with a lions match and falls between two SA tests that altho it is an official ODI we might see a 3rd choice team playing in it and it might be seen as devaluing an england cap and that a way around that would be to pick players who have already been capped but not part of current plans

just another example of a strange bit of scheduling

They do it in the 2nd XI T20's so i don't see a reason why they shouldn't do it for the FLt20. I'd like it to stay the same as it is at the moment but i wouldn't mind if there were double headers (along as the ticket price isn't doubled!).

Kumar Sangakkara has 9 innings to score 418 runs and therefore become the quickest player in terms of innings to score 10,000 test runs.

Reckon he might do it.

People talk about Kallis being underrated but for me it is Kumar who is slightly underrated.

Problem is that the more Indian teams there are, the more they take players away from other teams.

As someone says below the line, many T&T players will be turning out for their franchise. Seems better to me that the IPL teams should only only pick overseas players who haven't otherwise qualified. But I suppose the purpose of the competition is to showcase Indian cricket, so this won't happen.

Is it a complete non-starter that CC teams shouldn't take part? There seems to be so little in it for English cricket and it cuts across our season.
