Strauss?

Well, I dont think he should be in the team anyway regardless of the KP issue. So its not hard to guess.

Really dont see what he did as "wrong" tbh.

You don't see what KP has done wrong? Odd, anyway, you said earlier he wasn't blameless???

About the text? I dont see whats wrong.

No? ok, we'll leave it there.

You don't get world class batsman everyday of the week. Look at Kirsten who managed an Indian team which was ruined by Chappell and don't tell me when Kirsten came into the set up there was no rift in that team. Dressing room problems will exist but it should be sorted out.

With hindsight i think stripping KP from captaincy, however excellent a batsman he is, was a very good move.

I really dont see whats wrong in moaning about your boss with a mate. Even if that mate comes from an opposition. If KP treated Steyn like a friend on the field, then it would have been a problem. The way he played Steyn at Headingely suggests to me that KP does not let personal relations get in the way of his performances. Some of the other players could learn a thing or two from him.

KP was never a captaincy material and this is coming from someone who has defended him for a decade now :lmao The best example is him dropping Swann and treating Jimmy as a part-timer. When Jimmy cleaned up S'wag at Madras he didn't even have a look at him.

Henry II had problems with Thomas a Becket and proclaimed " can no one rid me of this troublesome priest". Maybe Andy Flower has proclaimed "can no one rid me of this troublesome Pietersen" and the ECB have finally responded.

Indeed! We've have had enough time at the No.1 spot in the test rankings. Lets gift it to another team by dropping our best player.

The ICC rankings are a nonsense anyway and ceratinly not worth sacrificing what seem to be important principles for.

It has nothing to do with "dressing room problems". Pietersen basically has a personality disorder & it looks like a pretty acute case - he left South Africa under a cloud, he left Notts under a cloud, he left Hampshire under a cloud, he's on the verge of leaving England under a cloud.....Aren't you spotting a pattern here?

The idea that KP has any mates in the SA team is laughable. They think he's a prat of the first order.

Well, i am of the belief that captaincy depends on what team one has. But given the issues he is having with coaches, administrators and team mates, he would have struggled to be a man manager. If he himself finds it difficult to adjust to a group then its tough for such a person to develop such a group.

It is like Chappell who said can anyone get rid of this troublesome Ganguly? Ganguly came-back and did well. Now where is Chappell?

You can compare him to Gangs. He was almost thrown out of the dressing room on his first tour to OZ in 91/92. He had a rift with Chappell and was thrown out yet did well. Finally you see his cricketing credentials.

I didnt know Graeme Smith is equivalent to the entire SA team. KP has very good relations with Kallis, AB, Steyn and also the now retired Boucher.
