Third Division Austrian side FC Pasching winners of the Austrian Cup, beating Austria Vienna 1-0 and have qualified for next seasons Europa League Cup Playoff Qualifying Round.

They took out Rapid Vienna and Red Bull Salzburg in the Quarter and Semi Finals, in their own backyards too.

If only those two teams faced each other in the Europa League next season, very disappointed with the lack of publicity FC Pasching got from mainstream English media.

Looking forward to Europa League next season, it's all about FC Pasching and Wigan Athletic for me.

To knock out both Rapid Wien ad RBS is no mean feat, both are pretty decent level Europa league sides. It'll be interesting to see how well Pasching can do in the Europa league. As for Wigan the Europa League could be a means of holding onto some of their better players for at least 1 season while they're in the Championship.

On the other hand, the Europa league is the WORST thing for a side chasing promotion, unless they add 8-9 players to cover the workload.

If they can hold on to some of their better players and get a few championship level players in their squad to aid with the workload of the fixtures it wouldn't be too bad a thing for Wigan. However this all hinges on the person who they can get to replace Martinez and his attitude to the Europa League.

Chances are Wigan will need a serious squad rebuild now that Ronnie Stam and Franco Di Santo are released, in addition to Joel going back to Spain. I think depth won't be a major issue as Wigan have a few development squad members who are likely to get some game time.

If Burnley and Bradford can go on League Cup runs and win promotion on the back of 60+ games with a relatively small squad then Wigan have no excuses. That said if Wigan were to defend The FA Cup and make the Europa League knockout stages then 70 games would be played.

I forgot Randers FC, who Colin Todd manages. They finished 3rd in the Danish Super League and are in the Europa League qualifiers.
