sadly I did see the game last night, and in its entirety, for once.

The German keeper looked as dodgy as hell, but unfortunately England capitalised on this by making him save no shots at all.... all night. Not one, not even half a one.

I've worked out who Chris Smalling reminds me of. It's been bugging me for ages, but I finally worked it out. Big, clumsy, useless, ungainly, slow, talentless and hopeless.........................................

I expect Switzerland away to be challenging, but the other matches are winnable. I just hope England don't get complacent thinking these games are already won on paper.

The paucity of the Euro opposition will help the great british footballing officionado's to convince themselves that this year's 9 day WC finals campaign was just a blip caused by humidity... or altitude..... or bad luck.... or dodgy officials..... or goal line technology... or Rooney's broken metatarsal...... or something other than the fact that we are total cr@p

I hear Roy Hodgson wants to appoint a leading pyscologist for the World Cup campaign to help England on penalties.

Waste of appointment I say, get Phil Parkinson in as part of England's coaching staff! Not only he's more qualified than Gary Neville and David Beckham, but the club he currently manages haven't lost a penalty shootout in 9 games.

You expect us to beat Switzerland 3-4 nil, home and away? We're a decent international side, a bit like Switzerland I suppose, although I would like to think we'll take 4 points off them, if we play well.

Switzerland are the kind of team that England struggle to beat because they will sit back and do nothing. They beat a record for something like 6 World Cup games without conceeding in a row between the 2006-2010 world cup. On the plus side I dont know if they scored a goal at either tournament. :lmao

They came out of a pretty poor group for this World Cup.... Norway and Iceland

I'm amazed it's taken England so long to catch on to peak performance psychology (PPP)....

Brazil, Germany and Italy have been using it since the mid-1990s. The Aussie and Saffer cricket teams have been using it since the mid-1990s.

Didn't Hoddle take someone like that to France in 98? Eileen Drewery? Just checked, she was a faith healer.

This is very sad when people resort to this. Won't do the lad's confidence any good at all. I just hope they dont boo him when he's on the pitch.
