There may well have been. I just don't remember there being one.

On another note - On the unlikely scenario that Man U win the CL but finish outside the top 4 in the PL, am I right in thinking they wont be able to defend the trophy next season? There was controversy when Liverpool won it a few years back but can't remember what the outcome was.


Liverpool were allowed to defend it, but I think they changed the rules after that.


You only need to go back to Chelsea's recent CL win for the answer. Spurs finished 4th, Chelsea took their CL place from them a week later by beating Bayern in the final on penalties.

Carroll swung his arm back, and caught him..............just. Look at Carroll's face when he swung back, he definitely meant it. It doesn't matter that Florres went down easily, he was still caught.
