did he have anything to do with them? I thought he bought the club and gave it to his sons?

Not sure how it worked but the sons were the ones effectively running the club so nothing will change at the club in that respect.

Never set foot in Old Trafford apparently.

Fair play to him, he wasn't a Man U fan anyway.

Why would he turn down a contract at Arsenal to be a no.2 elsewhere ?

Looks like we're closing to signing Sagna. Great back-up to have for Zab.

Great business by Southampton to get £9m for Lambert. Would have thought £5m max.

The worst thing is, hes a boyhood Liverpool fan, so its highly unlikely he would turn a move down.

Given that Vorm has been fairly unreliable and injury prone this season, I'd say Fabianski would start ahead of him.

Media have downgraded it to £4m + add ons.

At £9m, I'd have willing to drive him to Liverpool myself. But at £4m (plus these supposed adds on, which rarely amount to anything much)? Absolute crud of a deal.

I still don't see why we would negotiate pre-World Cup, when an injury to Rooney/Sturridge gives Lambert a chance to double/treble his value.
