We would most likely get the same verdict or if the indian did get a ban, ECB would most likely back track if BCCI threaten to call the tour off.
I don't see any major political involvement here, if anything ECB and BCCI didn't want this case to go forward.
It looks like the judge decided both players were not guilty due to lack of evidence, but not sure I agree with his verdict should have just gave both players level 1 charge and this would be the end of the matter, Surely the Aussie knew giving both players not guilty would not end the matter and it is likely that the indian press would embarrass all parties here.
Can't believe indian fans here are forgetting BCCI are controlling cricket, I doubt ECB would be able to manipulate the verdict and ruin political agreements with BCCI.
There is no BCCI Vs ECB disagreements here, they both are looking at this long term both boards need this series to be a success and BCCI can't exactly call this tour off and ruin the agreement here since they do need England to come to india every 4 years and play a long tour.
You could pretty much link this to the Ashes where both boards usually get along, but the players usually don't.
Both boards are not stupid enough to ruin a very good agreement on two petty arguments, This series is worth around 100-150M pounds to ECB and BCCI needs England to visit india every 4 years for a long tour to keep Star happy.
