So the season starts, and United have started with Lingard and Blackett. Blackett is an interesting selection

Not sure I follow any rationale to potentially changing a season long prediction after one just game of said season.

Yep tongue was firmly in cheek with that comment.

Blackett has gone from Birmingham last year, to starting Uniteds first game of the season. Perhaps LVG is letting UNited money men know that they need a Center back pretty quickly

Moyes era ?? You mean the 2 players that Fergie signed ??


I never said that Fergie didn't sign them.

But Smalling and Jones were regulars under Moyes (mainly given Rio and Vidic's ages and injury records - plus Evans' injuries too), and were awful.

Arguably they were the worst two players under Moyes (out of those who Moyes actually gave a decent chance to).

Bar one player, it is the same squad as last year (given that Shaw is injured).

Utd have a fortnight to make at least two big signings. Three or four more likely are required.

Not the first time in his short Utd career, Fellaini escapes a red card for an elbow.

Hardly surprising, the dirty so and so did it throughout his Everton career too.
