A very good win for England there.

Played well to boot. Not sure enough people will be happy with it. But promosing signs, and still a few problems to fix.

Starting with the Right Back position, John Stones just looks so uncomfortable playing there.

Hodgson needs to get himself over at Turf Moor and discover a player called Kieran Trippier.

Congratulations to Fabian Delph on becoming 1 of the worst players to ever wear an England shirt.

MOM. Though Hart played well, when he was needed.

And Man Utd have sold Welbeck to Arsenal....

seen so many extreme views on the wellbeck transfer , from fans saying it was a complete waste of money by arsenal and hes gonna be a flop to people saying they got an absolute bargain

think last night showed what hes capable of if played in the right position and within the right system

I expect him to do well for arsenal if he gets played as the main striker , a lot more mobile than giroud and an infinitely better footballer than sanogo

Welbeck is a bit like marmite. That said, I can see his good points, which imo is not being a 20 goal a season striker. Last night he looked like one though. I may well be proven wrong if he gets chances.

the difficult thing is ginger he has played so few games at man utd as the main striker , and even when he does it has tended to be one game then back on the bench for a few weeks then another game a month later

so its kinda impossible to tell how he will do if he plays week in week out through the middle , especially with the sort of service he can expect to get from the arsenal midfield and wide men

Whenever I saw him play as a CF, he hardly ever impressed me, hence my view. He's still young and learning, so he may turn into a top class CF. Be interesting when Walcott, and Giroud return. I think Theo wants to play up front as well?

Can't remember too many occasions where Welbeck has let the England team down. I'll settle for Welbeck being average for his club and above average for the National team.

Thought his first half was poor but not surprised on your first full debut. Second half he seemed to settle down and was pretty composed on the ball and made one or two decent runs in the opposition half. If he can control his temperament I think he could become a useful international player in the future.

This was much better from England.

Good to see Welbeck among the goals again.

I did not realise the Swiss were ranked 9th in the world. I know its not acurate, but even so a good win away from home for England

Their ranking is probably slightly too high although they were close to making the WC quarter-finals and they were unbeaten in WC qualifying (24 points in 10 games).
