Who cares about the World Cup, since the onset of T20, the 50 over World Cup doesn't have the same level of importance as it did in the 80's and 90's.

don't agree with that at all tbh

at international level the 50 over world cup is still seen as way more significant than the t20 one

What happened to this idea of a test cricket World Cup? Has that been shelved?

Apparently one of the England players mentioned a product and it was picked up on the stump mic. The company who made the product (something small, like beer) sent them some samples as a jokey thank you. Prior supposedly was humorously angling for a free car, and no doubt trying to distract the batter at the same time. I'm sure the England team know that Indian players are well off.

I shall be glad when this KP stuff is over and we can get back to the important business of wishing Cook ill in the World Cup.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I agree with this. Apologies if it has already been posted but this thread is going at such a pace it's hard to keep up.

Who was saying the KP thing would be ignored in the media? I think we are now at a point of pretty open rebellion in the ECB that has reached the tipping point.

Clarke or Downton, or both, have to be sacrificed.

Also funny how KP made no efforts to stop this "bullying" culture while he was part of the team, something definitely happened with him and James Taylor and he reportedly made comments behind players back, its only an issue now hes outlawed, hypocrite much ?

Supposedly KP was asked in a private meeting with Flower what he thought of Taylor. KP's comments became known.

Pietersen reported bullying and there was a meeting about it in Bangladesh. George Dobell on Switch Hit on Cricinfo, has said a couple of times that players have told him about bullying, off the record.

Dobell has been excellent this year. About the time of him saying the 2010-11 Ashes winners were one of the best five teams ever, and then pasting them after a single defeat in Dubai, I made some negative comments about his writing, but I enthusiastically retract those.
I always say that everybody's right.
