Kevin Pietersen's Autobiography.

What's buzzing in the world of cricket....

Not really sure I understand what Marks is babbling on about. Obviously in cross reference to his previous opinion on the matter, he seems to be stating that:-

Every successful dressing room has abnormality, whether rightly or wrongly, and such an un-acceptance of this abnormality is abnormal. So in order to be right, you either have to act in a way that the team thinks, or that difference is negative and shows you cant fit in. So in acting to the normal established rules of a social environment, one is culpable for loss of team spirit, because team spirit is based on abnormality?

Utter nonsense.

He seems to state that KP is over-sensitive, and that is unacceptable because the team environment had no place for sensitivity, and he was therefore unacceptably different and couldnt fit in. Surely this is simply a nonsensical contradiction. If someone cant fit in because they cant act abnormal, then what does that say about the social skills of those who are inside this situation?

Surely the whole point he is making, that people are different in a dressing room and that people should accept that, actually in reality reflects the other way.... that people should not look for an undying bond with everyone agreeing, but that all the differences in the dressing room are to be embraced?

I think this is what the difference between this dressing room and others is.

The trouble with an axe is you must get up close and personal with your victim, a high powered rifle from distance is safer, or better still a hired assassin.

Can't get a hired assassin from B&Q though.

You obviously haven't been to the right ones.

In my last statement on the matter I was not showing sides just the interpretation.

I remain Switzerland in this. For all intents and purposes I am neutral but of course I have multiple agendas.

I rang my local B&Q to see if they had one. They had protection racketeers, match fixers, crooked politicians and chainsaw extremists but sadly no hired assassins.

You wonder what the point is of having a huge shop in a retail park.

I'm was a BIG fan of Steve as a cricketer and now similarly as a commentator on the game, he always sees the best in people and in their performances. If Steve said somethig happened I'm ready to believe it happened because he tells it without exaggeration, unlike Pietersen who has laid it on too thick.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

It seems clear that he is pretty disappointed with Pietersen's book as there isn't enough cricket in it.

Fair point. It's not a book about what happened on the field. The story he does write is worth telling though.
