Missed the last 20 minutes or so. Rooney's getting some stick I see, and tbh, his first touch wasn't great, and he wasted a couple of chances, not that the volley was an easy one. Wilshere also seems to be an easy target, but to be fair, he's played quite well in these two games, albeit against poor opposition. Lallana has escaped criticism, but he hasn't done much. A neat player but no pace, and not exactly prolific. Chambers as an attacking RB doesn't work either. I thought he was a CB?

6 points though. France here we come.

It seems to be a long standing hamstring issue, apparently he doesn't even train for Chelsea, just does a weeks recovery and plays matches.

Can't see that being fixed.

Anyone who slags off Wilshere is clearly blind, he was by a long way England's best player yesterday. Made some lovely play with the ball at his feet, and really tracked the ball in defence and won it back.

If he can stay fit and get a long run of playing time, he could be England's most exciting player. Has a passing ability that embarrasses Gerrard and Lampard....

But hey.... we are from a nation that put Paul Scholes on the left wing, so no doubt we will waste a similar players talent again.

The big thing with Wilshere is if he can stay fit and have a full season. Same with Walcott. Both being fully fit would boost Arsenal and Englands chances. But can either of them last a season?

In short, probably not. Which is a shame

Forgot about Walcott. He'll be back soon. If he starts scoring for Arsenal, then they'll be selection issues for Roy.

As for Wilshere. I've said before that he's a bit style over substance, much like Lallana, but he has looked to get forward and create much more in these last two games.

Sussex, why is it that when someone has a difference of opinion to you they are physically or mentally disabled in some way?

I'm not overly bothered but it could be conceived as being offensive or bullying to some.

Don't think you need to do it when often your arguments are well made and pretty persuasive, although sadly sometimes complete tosh!

It could be conceived as being offensive, but then the term "blind" has meaning as an adjective, noun and verb that does not relate to being "physically or mentally disabled in some way"...... To call someone blind is to question their perception on an issue, which in turn alters the way that they regard or understand a situation.

"Tosh" only has meaning as an insult, when added with the adjective qualifier of "complete", would leave no one to argue that such a statement can only be conceived as offensive.

Don't lecture me about making offensive statements when you are quite happy to level an offensive personal remark towards myself in return. If you have a problem, by all means, ask the moderation team to review it.

The exclamation mark clearly demonstrating that I was giving you a bit back, but sadly you missed the irony.
