Definitely an own goal.

Shearer disagreed, but being a former striker, he would.

It was going in if the defender wasn't there, which makes it his.

If Wayne Rooney gets credited with the Eng goal, then Pelle gets that.

Definitely a penalty, no red card and some shocking defending by Sunderland. Southampton played well but the majority of the goals were gifts.

But Mannone would have still been there. I sit right there in the Chapel stand. Mannone's save had slowed the ball down so far that it would have taken a second or two more, at least, for the ball to have tricked over the line had Bridcutt not intervened and sped the ball back up again. In that time, Mannone would have been able to claw the ball away or fall onto of it.

No question that Pelle's shot was on target (if I'm honest, from where he was he should have just put his foot through it and smashed it past Mannone), but it wouldn't have gone it without Bridcutt. So for me it's an OG. But I am half expecting it to be given to Pelle, on the basis that the shot was on target.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

If you look at the replay the defender stopped the ball with his left foot but in doing so kicked it against his right foot and it bounced back into the goal. Should be an og just for the fact he should have cleared it.

Arsenal's defending wasn't much better. Yes, Flamini was being held, but what was Mertesakar (spelling) doing waiving his arms around, when he could have applied a bit of pressure. He was ball watching a little for the second as well.

Didn't realise how weak Soldado's pen was against Hart. Hasslebaink thought Lampard made the most of his challenge, and therefore it shouldn't have been a pen, but the defender seemed to touch the back of his legs. For me, it was a pen.

Sunderland maybe a bit unlucky....personally thought Fraser should have been sent off at 2-0, with an extra man and penalty, could have got a point at least. No doubt for me, Fletcher beats him and is taken out.

how on earth are QPR not ahead of Liverpool in this game , they have been by far the better team

saw loads of comments on twitter and other sites at the transfer deadline comparing the signings of balotelli and welbeck, both for £16M, and how much of a bargain in comparison balotelli was. well hes not looking much like a bargain so far for Liverpool.

Balotelli pleased Caulker stuck it in as he would have put it in the crowd.
