There is always this debate about who is the better footballer out of Ronaldo and Messi and I would tend to side with the latter, but one thing Ronaldo has done which Messi has yet to do, is conquer the Premiership, which is like no other league in the world. Messi might see that as a challenge.

doing a rough calculation, if the £500M figure is accurate you would be talking about a wage of £1M per week on top of the £200M transfer fee

I seem to remember the million pound player barrier being broken but then prices dipped as football hit the buffers in the eighties with falling attendances etc....
