Really poor performance but not as bad as everyone is saying. If Mata wasn't blind, it would've been 2-1.

If we can keep hold of Wanyama and Schneiderlin, and give Toby a contract, and we could go places

Conversely 3-5-2 really suits us, yet we didn't play it today (partly I assume because we had no Yoshida and no Mane). Clyne and Bertrand as wing backs really make it work for us.

We wouldn't have deserved it.

This is the first time I've considered that we are going to struggle for top 4 if this is the way we continue to play with this system. I thought we'd still scrape through as we've got results.

Blind a dm in centre back and then left wing back. Rooney in midfield. Di maria up front. The system he's played has pushed two of our best players into unknown positions.

Hopefully today will also end all this rubbish talk (not actually generally from Utd fans in my experience I should add, to be fair to them) that Utd are in the title race. The prize for them is top four, and they'd do well to not take their eyes off that - or else.

I think most of the talk on this forum is that Man U are a long way from being title contenders and a number of their wins this season have been fortunate.

Impressive comeback by Soton after their scratchy period a few weeks back, really good sign that they can accomplish at least Europa league this season. I can see why they fancy Forster ahead of Boruc, apart from the odd kicking gremlin he is top notch.

@oilysailor
Man Utd 14-15 PL win%
Three at the back: 36% (11 games)
Midfield diamond: 80% (five games)
Others: 40% (five games).

If that Leicester game had never happened, we might still see the diamond :(

Bony completes his signing for Man City for 28 million.

Mind you he is currently on African Nations Cup duty and may not be available to play for Man C until mid February.

Got to love how stupid Robbie Savage is.... in his recent article posted on the BBC, he says if he was United boss, he would get rid of Jonny Evans, Smalling, Rafael and Jones.... but keep McNair and Blackett?? Good luck with that one.

He also says he would buy Falcao and get rid of Van Persie....

Wonder what sh*t the block is smoking this week!

Never liked Savage as a player and like him even less as a pundit.

Surprised the BBC ever hired him.

Hoping he's be controversial.

He was imo the worst sort of player. Thought he was a hard man, but was nothing more than an overrated whinger, who liked nothing more than getting other players in trouble.
