One more game down, 16 to go.

The first time we have ever won three consecutive away games in the PL (and we were in the PL for every season between 1992 and 2005 don't forget). Palace, Man Utd, and Newcastle. And an away FA Cup win vs Ipswich in there too.

Arsenal have so many faults. So, so many faults. And whilst they exist, Arsenal will never challenge for the title over a full 38 game season. But they know how to finish in the top four. Boy do they know how. And invariably they improve over the second half of the season. This result is just further evidence as to why I believe we will ultimately fail to finish in the top four ourselves.

Some really tasty head-to-heads though over the next four rounds of matches, in the race for CL football:

Liverpool v West Ham Jan 31st
Spurs v Arsenal Feb 7th
West Ham v Man Utd Feb 8th
Liverpool v Spurs Feb 10th
Saints v West Ham Feb 11th
Spurs v West Ham Feb 22nd
Saints v Liverpool Feb 22nd

If Arsenal and Utd can win their respective one game in that list, then they could really steal a march on the rest of us given that points will have to dropped all over the place. And it'll be hats off to West Ham if they're still in the running come Feb 23rd.

Man United might be a bit worried with Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs starting to put some results together. Lets not forget the saints still looking good and west ham not out of it yet.

Man City were terrible, but we seen today what an utterly different team Arsenal are when Koscielny is fit. He makes Mertersacker look like a footballer.

Coqlain is terrible, but even with a player who is dedicated to defend in the Arsenal midfield, the team look better.... if only they would spend 20-30 million on a world class DM, they might take a step up
