I must admit, I had a feeling he'd get the winner.

preferably because he isn't in the squads for you to be able to pick him

back to the football tho , that result really tightens things up again for 3rd and 4th with Liverpool edging closer

After Liverpools win there is not much of a gap from 3rd to 7th. Its going to be tough for Southampton to hang on to a champions league place

it is but you never know , none of the other teams really look that convincing and tbh I didn't expect them to hang on this long so anything is possible

The debate about the huge TV deal rumbles on, as Richard Scudamore tells us all the Premier League is not a charity, and some agent who represents all the best talent around the world tells us that the saturation point hasn't been met.

Not sure I agree about that, and not sure how many people will be excluded from the game once this 70% increase is filtered down from the TV rights buyers to 70% more costs to the consumer. Is it asking for Charity to say "your product is too expensive for me"?

The mystery is that, in this day and age, footballers earn huge salaries. Transfer fees are huge too. What does this 70% mean to football? It means that transfer fees go up, players want more money.... its empty money. If the pot had 4 billion in, players would cost x amount of money and be paid proportionally... if you you double it, players fees double and so do their wages, and I don't see the benefit of that other than that England can buy talent from around the world to play in the league.

But the cost to the fan must be pushing to breaking point, even for comfortable middle class people? £300 quid for mum, dad and kid to go to Arsenal for 90 minutes of entertainment!!!! Its too much, when adding £1000 to watch it a year for Sky package, or whatever it costs nowadays, or will cost in the future.

Its about time salary caps were introduced into football to tame the out of control wages and transfer fees, and then we might actually see football clubs making money without having to charge abysmally high prices for tickets.
